Day 1: We depart from Nairobi early morning and drive through southern bypass out of Nairobi and join Nairobi- Nakuru highway. First stop over at the Great Rift Valley View Point. We arrive at the lodge in Mara in time for Lunch and after check in, relax and have time to unwind as we prepare for our evening game drive at 1600hrs. Return for dinner and overnight at lodge/camp.
Day 2: After breakfast, we leave for a full day game drive exploring the park in search of the big five. The Mara offers wildlife in such a great variety and abundance that is truly difficult to believe. Over 450 species of animals have been recorded here, you will closely see rhinos, leopard, elephants, buffalo, wildebeests, zebras, warthogs, jackals, lions and types of antelopes, crocodiles and giraffe. Picnic lunch will be served at Mara River as you watch out for the migration. This gives us a whole day to catch the action as the wildebeests and the predators engage. Dinner and overnight at lodge/camp.
Day 3: Early morning game drive as we search for the early morning action. We will have our breakfast in the bush as we enjoy the crossing. We return back to the camp for lunch and an after lunch, we either visit the Maasai village or an afternoon swimming and relaxing. An afternoon visit to the Maasai village allows us to interact with this unique Kenyan tribe. To date, they stubbornly cling to their traditions in the face of modernity. The women still make Manyattas (traditional houses) from a mixture of soil and cow dung. Little boys’ responsibility is to herd cattle and goats. The Maasai warriors will entertain the guests with singing and dancing with their famous Maasai jump. We will get a chance to buy authentic jewelry made from beads and other traditional materials. After visit we head back to our camp/lodge for early evening dinner by the bonfire until late.
Day 4: On this last day, after breakfast we pack up and check out. We leave the camp/lodge with game viewing en-route for our return to Nairobi. We will have stop over at Narok town for lunch and proceed with our journey arriving in Nairobi late afternoon.
